Yup, at least you've got it working without any problems, which is the most important. Asus should probably make a fix for their BIOS compressed files or mention that ppl should use some extraction program other than the default MS Win extractor.

The OS was almost completely updated so it had to be the extracting who did the trick.

What kind of Win updates do you usually do? Other than the Win fixes, and .Net updates I don't do much.

Shes sleeping.

I usually do almost all of the important updates, and a few optional. SP1 i have on seperate usb penn so its pretty quick to install w7.

Oh ya, if you can have Windows 7 setup from a USB, that's even better than having the disc.

Yeah, ive tried that, but had to delete it, because to few usb pens. Got several more now so im gonna use the smalles sized one for installation of w7.

like winrar but free and very easy to work with. maybe thats why it worked for me and didn't for you, glad you solved everything.
