Yeppie, Yep - I am trying to obtain a Brand New version of this X38 Motherboard.............

:hands:.....I have tried the usual suspects:Ebay, hardware Net stores (US, Taiwan, Canada, Europe, Asia, etc - Heckety Heck, the entire worldwide).

Am I just another alien acquiring an alien product? Or is it remotely feasible to purchase a spanking brand new of this ever-rare fusion block baby?......:whack:

I've just had a little bird (who's in the know) whisper in my ear and state that you'll be lucky to find one due to the limited run that ASUS did of that board. However, he has found you one here

:worship:..All Hail To PV5150 and This Great OC3D Forum! :worship:

Thank You Very very much! 0h-by-the-way-hey: I think that little birdie deserves a huggie-wuggie and David Bowien Kisses XXX, i.e., like Chewbucca of Star Wars et al...:yumyum:

I am purchasing an order now - Let's hope it is the Special Edition version with Fusion Block...not the plain-jane version not reccommended for watercooling babes like moi..

I will inform you what happens as soon as alien possible, O.K?

Best Wishes and Hit-Kisses,

Ziggy Stardust (Al La David Bowie)....:wavey:

:double:...I promise I will PV5150...I will give you the results..:worship:

Take Care and Don't watch any Michael Jackson DVDs/VHS/BetaMax, etc., oh-by-the-way this also includes any of the myriad Jackson Five old- skool videos with their estranged sisters - please...? At least until I say so, o.K?...:nono:

It is like loving Amy Winehouse for her unbridled unclassified habit-forming unrepentant via her drugged-obsessesions-via-kebab-fly-by-nights by default - all wrong.. but very slap-happy fun..eh...?....:wavey:

(The above is in honour to the great PV5150 - English, Dry, Svelt Equals Humour). The English spelling is preferable, don't you say 'ol /young chap...wot-oh...:worship:

I got a maximus extreme special edition, flashed to formula BIOS. So far she's rock stable, and expect no less from the "real" formula. You'll have no problems reaching your goals on this board. The Water block on the maximus S.E. is a little restrictive though, don't know if that applies to you as well.

:wavey:....Hello jokers_greg!...:worship:

Thanks for the BIOS "Formula" Flash transfer assimilation recommendation and highly interesting valuable suggestion of the Asus Maximus Extreme Motherboard - I didn't know you can transfer Flash BIOS from one motherboard to another (especially the Special Edition ROGs!)!

Perhaps, if I don't obtain a Asus Maximus Formula SE ROG; then, perhaps I should purchase the Maximus Extreme SE DDR3 version (at least it is more future-proof version) - hey, it has even more BIOS software additions and options than the Formula, not true mon amie?

I have an old Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi motherboard, which is ok for Core2Duo CPUs; but when you acquire an Intel Q6600 G0 stepping version seems like an upgrade is calling, eh?

Question: Which is the most highly overclockable DDR3 Ram out there? Which Manufacturer would you suggest? How much is it going to cost? Does the new DDR3 Rams requires an 64 bit Vista Home Premium rather than the XP Pro version for high-spec PC gaming? Which is the graphics card to obtain GX20's or should I wait until the new range of nvidia arrive later on this year or not?

you can always flash maximus formulas to rampage counterparts :). Woah lots of questions at once. First off, i can't help you with highest overclocking DDR3 out there, but I'll tell you; you can run any OS you want.I do suggest windows vista though. Vista will give you the same gaming performance as XP. Which graphics cards? Now is a wicked time to buy. The absolute best bang for the buck would be 2 x 4850. Since you'll be running a crossfire supported board (the maximus or formula), you might as well take advantage of the true 16x/16x PCIe 2.0 support!

CF'd 4850's perform extremely well! Just take a look at reviews. They put a GTX280 to shame, and cost MUCH less

:wavey:Hello Again, Folks!...:wavey:

I was unable to buy or purchase the Asus Maximus Formula SE X38 ROG Edition and must be slightly content with the more expensive Extreme DDR3 Version - ::(....

Yet, again I am requesting out here in the forum: does anyone know which is the best DDR3 RAM memory or at least the recommended reviews on these expensive DIMMS?

Is anyone using either a Corsair or OCZ DDR3 Rams?

Thanks VK! You have yet again your invalauble advice and suggestion of the two DDR3 Rams OCZ and Corsair - I will read the various PC reviews and tell you how I get on, OK?
