Depends on the case and card. I have an itx system with a reference 780Ti that chugs along at 82c as an example.

If we talk about a small case such as the Cooler Master Elite 110 then and something along a card like this one?...

Considering the only cards you could really fit in there are designed to be very small you probably get very little difference in temperatures betweeen the itx 285 and 960/970.

If you're worried about temperatures don't go ITX
