Asus G71G Laptop hardware issue?

I've had my Asus G71G laptop for about a year now and I have also been in Afghanistan for about 10 months of that so it has been through a lot. I have done my best to dust it out as well. I finally got time to start playing games on it again and it started taking over 3 minutes just to start loading Diablo 2 which should be an instantly opened game on this laptop. It also happens on other games as well so I decided to dust it out and format the drive to make a clean install. I have Windows 7 64 bit newly installed on the hard drive and everything worked great for about 24 hours and I'm back to waiting for 3 minutes for Diablo 2 to open which shouldn't happen. Now the laptop has been through some extreme temperatures as it was extremely hot over here during the summer and I lived and worked out of a tent for about 8 months. I'm thinking something could be wrong with the hardware itself but I thought I would see if anyone else had any ideas.

yes i would of thought its on its way out, they dont stick it in helmand for there testing lol, sand, gun oil,and silly hot temps can have a effect.

this is why on ops toughbooks are used instead of of the shelf laptops.

you would neet to take it apart, sand gets evryware fella
