ASUS/EVGA gtx 780 vs asus 290

sorry for late replies, i think that the 780 is the best choice for me, because its cheaper, use less power and heat and i do like the nvidia technoligies. do you agree?

TTL has just reviewed the Club3D Royal Ace 290 if you want to take a look at that and see what you think?

I agree, GTX780 is nicer, better build card, better for overclocking.
Better for overclocking? Depends on the card's chip/cooler and other things. Better built? Again, depends on the manufacturer. Quite alot of people here have had issues with the ACX cooler from EVGA for example...

How someone is not possible to see build quality of reference cards from series GTX500 and today on NVIDIA and AMD side, did you see cooler, noise, material on R9-290X reference and one nice card as Titan Black or others are same. No explanation why AMD don't use same type of cooler on their cards as NVIDIA, because NVIDIA turbine is loud but nothing tragic, and AMD I have no words for that.
fabric clock of non reference AMD cards tell you everything. I think you agree with me that 1200MHz on Air for R9-290X or example 150MHz is success reserved for rear customers on very good watercooling. That's only fabric clock of some NVIDIA brands easy to cool with fabric air cooler but and good number of others with example 100MHz fabric OC will reach 200-250MHz from refernce design. How much is highest AMD fabric clock from reference model. Less than in years before, GK110 is much higher than any NVIDIA chip before.
How much people here keep R9-290X 200MHz on GPU on air? I think 80MHz fabric OC is highest on
MSI R9-290X Lightening. That's less than Superclocked with reference PCB.
