Hi guys .

need ur voodoo magic to decide for this choice .......i know that Phoebus has driver problem right now ...

thanks

eey james wow thats a bold statement right there mate , i have a cm storm sirus
yeah maybe i should go with something more like a sennheiser or steel series h7

yeah i know ur right Pexon but im on budget so cant afford one of those right now ... but i want a good improvement from a on board sound ....

You won't notice a huge difference between onboard and a premium sound card if you're headphones aren't up to scratch. Something like the Sennheiser PC350s should be a minimum to get use out of something like the Xonar D2X. As people have said don't buy the Phoebus, it's a £100 card at most. Yes it's good but it's also overpriced and there's better out there for cheaper.

Well, if you plug crap into a decent sound card, you aint doing anything good. Get a Xonar (20 quid) and some decent music cans i.e. HD 518 or DT770.

I did buy a Phoebus but only picked it up since I wasn't paying full price for it.

Anyways I was having driver issues with it when I first installed it, disabled the hdmi audio drivers on the video cards and the issues went away.

Edit: If I had to pay full price for it, wouldn't have bought it and would have went with something else.
