ASUS brings GP106 and RX 470 based mining GPUs to the market

I'm guessing these run cheaper than their gaming counter parts? If so I see discount SLI and XFire bulids

Well at £250 minimum for a Sapphire 470 mining I can't see these being cheaper. So they're not cheap.

The idea is 1 standard card and 1 mining card side by side, not 2 miners.

Exactly AMD and NVIDIA in conjunction with their AIB Partners. Need to neuter the Consumer Graphic Cards so they can not Mine. Something as simple as using DDR5x. And then producing an exclusive Mining Card. Actually the price for the Mining Cards should be more expensive than a more complex Consumer Card. People are using them to make money. The market is very inelastic. If they want it people will pay whatever price the vendor sets.

I'd like to see the price for mining boards set to 500 Dollars/Pounds. And at least part of the windfall returned to Consumer Card customers in the form of lower prices.

It makes perfect sense to me. If you can't get your head around it go back an reread or read post 6.

Ah yes the good old I'll edit my previous post explaining everything after i've been called out. Nice.

Ironically you still fail to the see point here. So try again and take your own advice and read and research the point of these cards on the internet, until then, refrain from trying to look smart by editing your post, not working well.
Even though you will probably not research it, judging by your last edited post and what you said, you probably won't understand how wrong you are anyway.

Your post doesn't make sense because if they dropped prices on the consumer cards, the miners would just buy those instead, and there would still be shortages for the rest of us. Miners will buy whatever's cheaper, they won't pay a premium for a "mining" card, unless it can somehow magically mine more than the consumer card.
