ASUS announce their ROG Swift PG258Q 240Hz G-Sync monitor

240hz is great and all but is it too much to ask for a 32" 2560x1440 144hz display? Seriously sick of waiting for one.

32" 2560x1440? Don't you mean 3440x1440?...

Nah that would be 21:9 - I think he's after a 16:9 QHD @144hz just in a slightly larger size than you'd normally get (27" are common for that res)

Edit - No I'm not a fan of the stand either but you can always take it off. Must add quite a bit to the price though.

From what I've seen getting a display larger than 27" at a higher res than 1080 to anything over 100Hz at the moment is a little tricky.

Only issue with 1440p at 32" is the DPI (~92 DPI). Thats the same DPI as a 1080p 24" display. 27" really is the sweet spot for 1440p (~109 DPI).

Nope, same res as I get with my 27" just 32". I have gone off the idea of ultrawide due to not all games supporting the 3440x1440 resolution and I like the idea of a large normal style screen. Pixel density will not be as good as the 27" but I'm willing to sacrifice that for the bigger screen. I know there is 32" screens in 4k but 144fps at 4k is a no go. I know I'm being picky...

I think three of these in surround would be great!!! OMG, I'm a man on a mission, well at least until I see the price :o??? ;)

I still think 3440 x 1440 is the way to go. And for me even the black bars when not suported does not bother me as its like a 27* screen anyway.

Will only change my dell for a 4k ultrawide.

I agree with both of you, but I love to fly my lil bird in ARMA 3 and A-10c in DCS with TrackIR and surround at 5760x1080. I look at it as continuing what I am used to 5760x1080 newer at?.?? USD, spending $1,200.00 USD for 32" 3440x1440 or $800.00 USD for HTC Vive. We got options here and I will have to go look at the new Asus monitor at Micro Center.

I have the same dilemma. 1x Ultrawide 100hz or 3x24-32" 1440 panels for about the same coin. I'm not too fussed at the hz but higher is better.

I'm going to try to get my hands on a Vive to see if it makes me feel motion sick or not.
