ASUS and MSI mining-oriented GPUs leak

So basically you buy a new one every quarter?...

Not really, there surely are some HD7770s running their cryptocurrency computations just fine... Better than the newer cards I might add

I'm wondering however could someone crossfire them with a gaming card?

No I'm just saying the super short Warranty is a result of the GPU being run 24/7 at 100% so the manufacturers reduce the warranty in order to not have the replace dead GPUs that died under harsh use wasting there money. By doing a 3 month warranty they protect themselves and make the card cheaper, which is the point of these dedicated GPUs

If you wanna join the mining right now, then you're already too late. The efficiency will drop rapidly when people start buying these GPUs as it's more affordable.
But with the cost of electricity and the fact that you fairly often might need a new card, it's pretty much useless to mine anyways.

Pretty interesting thought that AMD cards are more power efficient than nVidia's when it comes to mining.

What's most interesting for me: These cards are made specifically for mining and they're more power efficient than their gaming counterparts? Then why not make the gaming cards more power efficient as well? I smell some marketing bs right there.

Driving an actual display does cost power, hence the increased power use on normal gpu's, gaming also use different features and instruction sets, it all adds up.
