Asus 680 4gb or 2gb?

I am looking to buy myself the ASUS 680 4 GB but it’s quite hard to get a hold of one right now, I am also wanting to go SLI later this year so I can use three screens for gaming.

So if I end up getting this card and can’t get a hold of another one, I am going to have to get a 680 2gb one which will bottle neck the 4gb on the card to 2 GB (I think).

My question is am I right by saying this about the card being bottle necked. Also or should I just get two 2 GB cards?

Yeah if you get a 4GB 680 and then a 2GB 680 they will both run at 2GB
