Assassin's Creed: Legion Rumoured to Launch in 2020 for Next-Gen Systems

Would be pretty cool to have the same design as Unity did. Massive crowds and such. Was really cool and with next gen power we should be able to handle as we should have more than enough CPU power.

Yeah, but as I said it is likely to be cross-gen. Large crowds would be a problem for current gen, and the today Assassin's Creed engine isn't known for being CPU friendly, at least on PC anyway.

That said I wouldn't have a problem with big crowds etc, though playing Origins and Odyssey I can't say that I miss having larger crowds.

They can surely do it better than just mobs of people. Also can scale it back for current gen consoles. With the very large cities in Ancient Rome we should have large populations roaming around inside those cities but as you get to more rural and less built upon places it should scale down.

I can't keep up. I just finished syndicate. Loving the look of origin so far, only about 30mins into it.

Same. I'm about mid-way through Origins with a long way yet to go. I won't be anywhere near ready to even buy Odyssey before the next one hits. Especially when there's so many other games I want to play too, some of which require equally massive investments of time.

Of course, when I get Odyssey I'll get the pack with ACIII Remastered too as I never went back and finished that one, so it'll be even longer before I get Legion.

Lets hope that they return to when Assassins Creed was GOOD. Unity and Odyssey are simply AWFUL due to the direction they turned to. VERY disappointing indeed since this has effectively RUINED the series.

I'm bored of western and middle eastern settings, Don't get me wrong I find Roman, English, Greek, Italian, Arab and American history all really interesting but we need to move further east, Japan would be an ideal setting to have assassins i.e Ninja and Samurai during the feudal era.

We've had more eastern settings...

Can't really count those little mini games.............................

Um Egypt is a big deal and so was Revelations. Both while not extremely far east still represent a massive change compared to old titles. Those games are also pretty good and still apart of the more. So they do count.

Egypt is still north africa/middle east though, We need a proper triple-A AC that goes far east, China or Japan would be amazing.

Then they should remake Tenshu. That game was amazing for its era.

China has been done. Even though small scale. Seems illogical to return to that setting.
