AsRock z77 extreme 4 unsteady Vcore ???

hey all,
I noticed when setting cpu Vcore at 1.165V for 4.1Ghz o/c , when stressing voltage is completely unsteady . it reaches even 1.350V !!
setting it at 1.160V or 1.170V (without changing anything else) makes the vcore steady.

asrock z77 extreme 4
4x4gb ram

llc level 2
speedstep on
turbo on
vcore turbo additional voltage 0.008

any ideas fellas?

On offset voltages or whatever the ASROCK one is called, is that set to auto? if so it needs to be changed to a specific number otherwise it does just fluctuate due to the LLC

I haven't used the offset mode yet till now.
I always used the manually set mode.

the offset mode has options such as -0.005V , -0.150V , +1.150V etc.
how will I know what voltage do I set?

You need to leave it on manual mode with LLC on auto for the time being. Then you need to stress test and find the voltage that your cpu is stable at.

Once you've done that, you then need to change the offset and LLC to try and get that voltage. You'll only be able to see what voltage that's actually set to through a 10 minute prime run, and it'll go to the maximum voltage that you've set it to. You then need to adjust it according to that voltage there, so work out how much you need to plus or minus to achieve that. It may blue screen in which case you need to plus it up a little. Never leave that on auto though as that will always just make it fluctuate. Mine went up to 1.45v on my 3770k when I was doing it the other day.

I got what u r saying and thank you for your assistance but my point wasn't that
as I said in my first post is that setting manually the voltage at 1.165 seems to result as automatic voltage. setting it at 1.160 or 1.170 the vcore stays steady at normal values.

not , it has not to do with LLC (I set it to auto without any difference) and the additional turbo voltage cause I have set it to 0.008V

now setting voltage to offset mode at the value of -1.165V when idle vcore drops at up to 0.816 and when stressing goes up to 1.160 (measured with Cpuz and cpuidHWmonitor) . LLC at automatic , speedstep off.
is that normal?

No, you shouldnt really have the setting that high.
If you're trying it using offset, put LLC to Ultra High (or second highest whatever thats called on your motherboard). Then put offset to something like +0.005 just so you have an idea what kind of volts that will set it to. Then prime it for 10 minutes, see what the max voltage goes up to and then adjust the offset accordingly

re-volt your vcore to 1.235-1.250v and retest to verify CPU voltage fluxuation. if the
calibration increases, your load line calibration (LLC) is too agressive. if the voltage still
wanders to 1.35 the chances are that is what is wants to function. ive done a couple
of OC with 4.0-4.2 @ 1.235-1.275vcore.
