Asrock Fatality

I was quite surprised to see this video,as arock are usually quite reserved in there motherboard designs, and have been pretty quiet on the performance board market of late.

From what i've seen the board doesn't look to bad, does anyone have one,and what are the specs like?

Personally i think it's an attempt at re-entering the the high end market, but as you say i've never been a fan of asrock boards myself.I've found them cheap and boring to be quiet honest.

Having fatality branding, and and a pro gamer to endorse it,is a bit pants really.

If it were a decent board, why not just let the hardware do the talking.

Kudos to them for trying though.

Why is everyone always so hard on asrock, ocz and thermaltake here ? you should try it before saying it's bad

Past experience. Also, thermaltake products remind me of high schoolers who mod their honda civics using spray paint and 2x4s.

I think if this fails for asrock,it's gonna be a big blow to them, with other manufacturers way ahaead in terms of design, and functionality.

Asrock have always been a budget type board,ok for those looking for a bit of the norm, but for enthusiasts just doesn't cut the mustard.

I'd rather pay the extra, and get a good performing board, with a nice look, and feature set, to suit my case.

That's one of the reasons i've steered clear of them in the past,as they just don't offer this.

The reason i opened the topic, was to see how well it performs, and if asrock really are paying attention to the market, and trying to give a better quality product to us, the customer.

The motherboard from what I've read is a decent motherboard, but overpriced. It's price is onpar with the MSI P67A GD65, but it's priced a good $50 over it. At least where I live.

Also why would anyone need a 500Hz USB port for their mouse? and don't bring up the 'It's Fatal1ty's preferred poll rate, pay attention' argument, because any half decent gaming mouse will have a driver that will let you set the poll rate to 500Hz.

EDIT: The bios screen has Fatal1ty staring at you for a background =D, it's certainly different from the old fashion blue background, but it's just weird imho.

I had a Asrock VSTA board and it was decent but for overclocking a BIG fat laugh,

what i hate is this "Fatality"
