It's funny how dated that looks. Doesn't seem that long ago that socket A was bleeding edge. Sucks getting old.

good on them

got given a computer a couple of months ago to fix that had a socket A motherboard and CPU

if it had needed a motherboard replacement then this would of been perfect

but it never just had some viruses on it

now that right there is something i would love to do but with really expensive boards like the X58A-UD9 and R3E lol

LOL me2 BTW a geek moment thought i make a picture

rare as anything

they were the jumper between 462 and 939

i need to make myself some more AMD systems...i miss them, they were always ahead of their time, and always had more features, if less power...

and less overclocking...

i feel .....a better person, supporting the underdog lol

I know its A socket topic but since agp was brought into discussion well too bad

My current PC is a socket 478 lol AGP 8x owns man! Things a beast! Its old faithful. Gone through hell maybe BSOD once ever even after the stupid OC on it. 03 tech ftw!

lol. Our family PC still has AGP. ATI radeon 9600. My mum uses it for typing and my sister uses it for sims 2.

My dad and sister have laptops so there's no point upgrading it.

my brothers PC (which was built from spares) has an AGP slot, though i think he may be running onboard gfx

my main system is still 939, and will remain so for aslong as it is viable to do so, ...a 4200+ wit 3gb of ddr400, on an asus a8n sli premium

Funny, I'm still running and old Athalon 64 single core OC'd to 3GHz with 3 Gb of ram and an 8800gt GPU. Games fairly well and does well with other things. It doesn't hold a candle to my i7-860 running at 4Ghz. However, the kids still like the old rig. Much nicer than the other old Intel P4 rig running XP.
