How noisy are these in comparison to :

DD D4 (got atm - too noisy for me)

DD D5 (what id get otherwise)

I had one m8 and it`s very quiet indeed,had to touch it to see if it was still working

They are both equally quiet in my books once you have let all the air escape.

I have one, not sure if its dodgy or if I just got unlucky, its quite noisy, and I have it set up with padding like clone above...

Unreal buy these rubber mounts.

I fitted them with the rubber block you get with the pump.

I've got two of these pumps in different rigs (both originate from Phil), and they run very smoothly. Trust me these pumps are better than good (being a keen aquarist I've had experience with a stack load of pumps Eheim, Hydor, etc). The build quality and performance is superb.
