AOC probably made this monitor flat so they'd have a niche market instead of comepting with the Alienware AW3423DW and that MSI one... Honestly unless you just hate curves in any monitor this screen makes a grand total of ZERO sense...

When you can buy a QD-OLED screen that also reaches 1000nits all the while having faster response times, even higher contrast ratios with not even a hint of blooming, for cheaper and it still comes with longer warranty.

I mean, yeah, the QD-OLEDs are in backorder but still...
