But all that effort clicking the RAM into place!

On a serious note, that's massively reassuring. I just hope it fits into something like an Armour A60. If not, meh. Quick change of plans is all. :>

I just looked at this case u like and I dont even think a 580 would fit in there?

can that even fit a d14?

doesnt look like its got good airflow at all..

this is my opinion....

I'd like to know as well. I've got no idea of the dimensions. If the bottom line is that I'll need a full tower then I'll sure as hell get one.

I would recommend a full tower, but the D14 fits in some midtowers, like the Fractal R3, Xigmatek Utgard, Cooler Master 690II Advanced and the like

You will need about 165mm of clearance for the D14, I think.

You'll notice I"m NOT ranting about hardware... the others have more experience with the gear that I"m unable to "access" at this time ROFLMAO!

One last thing I do want to mention:

Remember, you cannot break Windows, its impossible. Why? Becos you can always reinstall the doggone thing!

So basic rules apply: do not put computer in water, on heater, or pour beverages on it. Don't let your friends open the case and put their staticy fingers all over it. You do that, you're home free.

THen its just taking control of the operating system and making it "yours". Sys admin tools are your friend, as is regedit and any software you may like to access it (I like an older version of JV16 for instance). A true geek will spend time making sure windows and its system apps will be as streamlined as possible, thereby reducing the memory usage overhead implied by using the OS. And turn off that fershlugging UAC excrement!

Do take pics so we (or at least I) can drool and pretend its mine for a few moments. Good luck.

Lol I couldn't actually remember what it was called so I just said I couldn't spell the the thing

I'm in my iPhone now so replies won't be so often because I'll be sleeping

Haha, just saw it. Will I really need something *that* big, though? My spedo feels large enough!

If you want a mental rif with 4 gtx 580's a sr2 with two xeons and watercooling with loads of rada then yup its for you

. Actually if the price is fairly good then its a good purchase to future proof your system. It will probly last 4-5 total upgrade cycles and more if that beast is taken care of properly.

Hmmm I can break windows!!?? Okay, withdrawn. I was referring to the fact it can be reinstalled, not that you can't break it for that install point. Which is VERY true. Just that its irrelevant as far as a perma kill of a 'puter.
