I just thought what you put was taking the

out of people who voted that they would never install it.

It's also not impossible as there are other OS's out there and not everyone is raving about directx10.

I think you always assume the worse actually.

I do agree with nathan, never means never

I haven't voted as my option is not there

I should have put more detail in to the 3rd option... It's really meant to be like "i dont have it now, but I will definitely upgrade at some point in the future".

/please excuse me im hammered as hell :D

What's ur option? I thought u were dual booting?

I reworded the options and added one as well.

I plan to keep vista at arms length untill it is

A: reasonably priced

B: on at SP1 and

C: has a nice big base of supported drivers and mods

so should be about 1yr maybe :) (dunno about sp1 but i expect they will release something early on in the forms of a security update)

taking it too serious???

Well people may think they will NEVER install it atm which is what I put (you don't know how you will feel in 12months from now).

I just didn't get why it was funny that people might end up installing a piece of software. It was taking the

out of people for voting their own view on a poll.

It seemed people were being ridiculed just for voting how they feel.

It still does seem that people take offence as soon as someone votes against vista or microsoft tbh. Even tho the option was worded jokingly.

My post was in no way taking the mick out of people, so please dont try and sum up my posts. I said it because people who say they will never (never actually mean never!) will be forced one way or another to upgrade. THATS what i found funny.

Also, people can say what they want about microsoft, i dont really care. If they make a bit of software which i think is good, i'll say that, if they've made a bad job, i'll say that too. My decision is only based on if i like there software.

Vista's ok. RC2 was pretty cool when I was using it so Imma looking forward to taking a good look at Retail.

I'm not Pro MS, or anyone else for that matter - just pro what is a decent bit of software. I also like to look at stuff without bias on it's own merits.

Well any1 who reckons they`ll never will be almost forced to do so at some point down the line as soon as their favorite software/game`s latest edition is designed for it only and won`t work on xp.

I`d say we`re a long way from that yet, but u`ll all have to consider it sooner or later. Other wize Win98 would still be in wide circulation and they`d never make any money.

Not gonna bother with it just yet.

I've had a go of the upgrade advisor and it warned me about my printer not being supported, and I've heard rumor that USB modems are not very well supported at the mo.

Although it doesn't need it to run Vista, my primary goal is to upgrade my rig first. New CPU, another Gig of RAM and a SATA drive. By the time that's done Vista should be out of "Public Beta":p

once i get a dx10 card ill upgrade to the vista,

but at the moment there is nothing for me to want to switch... i mean its cool and all.. but is there a "classic" mode for vista lol cuz thats how i run my XP and i like it

No cause Aero Glass is the theme, and is also hardware accelerated by your GPU, not the CPU
