Anyone made the permanent switch to a retail (or OEM) copy of Vista yet?

Just curious to see how many of us are hopping on the WinVista bandwagon? After seeing Kemp's spiffy arse copy of Ultimate I had to go out and pick up a copy (I opted for Business rather than Ultimate as I don't need the MCE bundle).

It should be here on Monday, at which point I think I will make it my primary OS. All of the games I play worked fine when I was using RTM so I imagine support should only be getting better by the day/week/month?

How are the G80 Vista drivers treating people???
 
I will get it when i have the money to which will probably be around when SP1 is released. Hopefully full support (or almost) for everything will be availible.
 
im only using Vista now, i love it, h/e it does bring a few fps down in games other than that its a heck alot better than xp
 
And u prolly won't miss those few FPS all that much anyhow :p I'd rather be rockin' Vista with a few less FPS than XP wit a few more :D

Glad ur likin' it. Can't wait to get my copy installed on the new puter.
 
i've been dual booting on my pc for a while now and have it as my primary os on my laptop. Both working well.
 
the only thing i dont like about vista is the new defrag, and i think theres a bug in the change p/w.

There are no options for over 1month from now, so that is the only poll option for those people? :confused:

Agreed! I will changed once I have the money/when all bugs are fixed.

That could be a while. :)

It means vista sux, or at least people think that for now. (given the bugs and issues it has atm)

I don't think it's funny people might be pushed into buying vista because of directx10 etc. It's not funny that people might change their minds either??
 
i'm sorry, but the word " never" means errrr never! to me! if your option isnt there then dont vote, pretty simple really. I'd prefer not to vote than give a false vote.

EDIT: but if people might change there minds, r pushed into buying it, well.... thats still going against "never" buying it which the poll answer suggests. it needs to be worded differently.

Maybe some people will try their best to avoid it, with good reason. I was just questioning why it was funny that some people 'might' change their minds.

For now a lot of people will hope they will NEVER install Vista.

It's also not impossible as there are other OS's out there and not everyone is raving about directx10.
