Greetings and all the best , Ray(mond).

hey ray...

yeah, about 15yrs ago i was ate up into the RC hobby.
1/10th scale buggy, truck, 4x4, sprint, dirt oval, paved oval w/endurance (velodrome
racing) and indoor carpet 10/12th scale.
stock, modified and insane speed runs.

gas was just starting to peek into the sport when i parted. was a total blast for
the nationals (ROAR and NORCCA) in the joel johnson and gil losi jr days.
i still got a LOSI JR (first losi car) and some support equipment thats are relics
by todays standards.. racing 480sec on sanyo 1200scr 6-call packs. i matched my
own cells, dynoed my own motors and chassis, and setup the suspension on
scales.. yeah, i was ate up with it..

kinda how i got deeper into PC was data logging runs, database and vid editing.
had the ole tandy 088 and a speadsheet for car setups.

i got my namesake from RC car buggy racing.. id get so much
speed, when i hit a jump, it'd be days before it'd come back
down.. announcers would chuckle "there is airdeano jumping
the sky! in turn 6!"

i drove kyosho ultima, then to losi jr for dirt buggy and truck
for high-speed oval started with hyper-drive (belts no gears),
then to associated 10L and radial tires were fasssttttt.
customworks dominator AWD dirt oval.

modified 10turn triple for short oval
modified 8turn double for velodromes
modified 12turn double for medium off-road dirt

262sec 6-cell @ 7.43v 5x for heat races sanyo 1200scr
250sec 6-cell @ 7.61v 2x for mains sanyo sce 1700

ever see a battery pack blow-up in a race? devastatingly specatular!
major taylor velodrome clipping 69.86mph from a run off 28° turn
2 62secinto a heat run and kapow! looked like a lightning bolt hit it
with fire and sparks. the lexan body was shredded from the middle
out and burnt to a sizzle. something about pushing 60amps from a
battery that wasn't designed for this kind of sporting event. *grin*
