Sup doods!

So how many of you are fans of the MMO genre. I've spent a lot of hours in MMOs personally, you gotta love having awesome gaming along with a vibrant social experience. What MMOs are you playing/looking forward to the most?

Earlier I was holding out for Elder Scrolls Online, but given recent news I've lost a lot of my initial hope for the game. Buy the game, and pay a huge amount monthly, and if you don't get the collector's version, you get a race restriction and less exp. Really.

So now I'm looking forward to this one, WildStar, from Carbine Studios. http://www.wildstar-online.com

I haven't heard of the developer before, but I sunk a lot of months into NCSoft MMOs previously (Most notably City of Heroes/Villains).

So what do you play, and what are you excited for? Hope to see more of you OC3D folks in game soon :)

I do actually enjoy playing them but I just don't have the time or patience to sit down and play them now. My and a mate were into Guild Wars back in high school.

i love mmo, used to play Rappelz a lot back in the day sadly college and kids have slowed that gaming down lol, not that i don't love my kids just sometimes daddy needs to kill something :P

I actually got to play the beta of ESO can't really say much as I am under NDA but i wouldn't hold my breathe...

Have to say i am very excited about destiny, already got my place in that beta too ^_^

I played ESO too, so I know what you mean. The recent announcements are just the nail in the coffin for me.

I'm not bothered about Destiny until they put it on PC. I'm not wasting money on an inferior platform just for one or two games. xD

Alot of WOW personnel are working on this one, so you can expect good things.

I have seen ESO beta from a colleague, and I am not impressed at all. I find it somewhat drab. Which is a shame since I love the series

Played WoW far too much, also Warhammer, Lotro, Aion, Secret World, and SWTOR but both myself and my wife are bang into Rift, tried it at beta and it was dull, but came back to it about 6 months ago and its hooked us, so much content and things to do outside grinding and raids (introducing 2 player instances soon, because of the amount of couples they have playing it), also it is still free to play and no level cap for freebie players.
Will definitely be taking a look at ESO at some point but will probably let them iron out the bugs for a bit first.

I used to play a lot of Runescape, but now they have destroyed it... Used to be great! I'm sure we have a few Runescape players here. Eh?

Ah didn't know someone had posted about WildStar, although this thread is for more general MMO discussion. WildStar is just what I'm looking forward to the most (;

Yeah it's nice to see an MMo focusing on the whole package rather than just a key feature and kinda forgetting to put an emphasis on the rest.

Also the studio was put together by some very talented guys from the MMO space so touch wood* we should see some nice ideas.

We should make sure we all choose the same server :)
