anodised side window from phil and my new phase unit...

finally finished, went for a side window from phil, colour match came out great...

Phase unit is black, would have preferred all red (phase case is steel, so anodising was out of the question, red powder coat would have made a poor match), there are always compromises, in the end I took Johann's advice and settled on black powder coat, just like the inside of the pc case..

Ok here's a few pics of the unit running on the DFI Infinity, which is limited by fsb for phase, maxes out at around 385, which is the same I managed on water. I will try the 913 bios later..

For a Conroe E6600 with 1.6vcore, temps are quite amazing during Orthos dual blend test, full load temps on the evap are around -46 to -44, idle is around -52 in xp at 1.6vcore.

Are you not going to remove the case feet and bolt it together ?

with the amount of moving around and changing components, I decided to leave it as is. Though I suppose it would look better bolted.

Anyway thanks for the nice comments guys.

Left Orthos running overnight and, unit holds great temps with 1.6vcore (bios), shows 1.56 in xp.

Hey Raja,i don't like the look of that 12v rail in smart guardian. If that reading is accurate,i wouldn't be happy with that. That sexy new cooler seems to be doing well though,is it 507a or 402a ?

smart guardian is never accurate, so i would not worry, actual is around 12.16 or so I think. Tagan 900w supply. Too much is made of rails undervolting anyway, I have built regulated psu's many times in amplifiers and believe me considering all the high current devices are pre regulated on board right down to 1.6v (in the case of the cpu), half a volt is meaningless, market hype has driven so much nonsense into people's reasoning, people don't really understand psu's at all, rail sag can make a big difference depending of series resistence and regulation quality, but in this supply load and idle have no real change.

phase unit uses r402a..
