Hmmm maybe even Nvidia is getting sh*t scared of Vega too just like Intel.

They may have heard something about Vega GPU's, I think Volta maybe this is coming sooner rather than later.

Now we know why the are probably releasing the 1080ti early to try and milk pascal for all it's worth **sholes

Jen sun did showcase Volta at CES with the self driving cars, partnering with Audi with whom they have been working with for the last 15 months.. I'd be very surprised if we don't see the announcement of the GTX 2000 series sooner rather than later, it's clear that the GPUs are being used already and are working. 1080Ti.... I don't think they will, like I said it would be a shrude move for them to play the Volta card right as AMD start getting their game together.

Just remember that we had leaks for GP100 in March of last year, with the GPU only coming to market this month.

The time between early silicon and final product is a significant amount of time.

I really can't see Nvidia feeling so threatened by Vega that they push for Volta. Maybe they feel like they need to get small Volta out to compete with Vega 11, but from what I've seen that's not even Nvidia's biggest market.

They are probably just trying to get attention from AMD like Intel. AMD is in the spotlight and has been for a long time. Nvidia and Intel aren't used to that

Who knows dude doesn't look like there are set time frames now for releases.

I did say in another thread that Nvidia had something up their collective sleeves other than the 1080Ti seem I may have been right

We knew Volta was coming sooner rather than later. They would hardly leave Vega 11 to own in the midrange segment.

edit: Emphasis on the midrange and low-end segment. I can't see big Volta (1180) coming in 2017.

Was a refresh. Wasn't. Refresh. Wasn't.
Keeps changing. I'm not excited for it tbh
Vega seems much more interesting

Volta has never been suggested that it was a refresh. Volta was always shown as a big stepping point from Nvidia when showing their Roadmaps.

I thought I read somewhere that they thought September-October they where shooting to release volta... I wouldn't think they would wanna leave vega too long without comp.
