Hi,

Are these temps ok for my cpu its a 1090T OC to 4Ghz 1.48v and temps are:

Idle: 38c

Load: 59c

Are these ok or high for this cooler?

59c when playing games or just prime?

Anything under 60c during normal use should be fine

I don't know what temps are good for that cooler without doing my own research but I get 59c (max under prime) and around 43-45c in games with the same overclock (speed, volts and cpu) with the NH-D14

i get 55c in crysis 2 but that uses more cores than most games dunno about other games never looked.

i can reduce temps mroe my sucking air in instead of exhausting it out but then dust clogs the rad.

nothing will normal use will stress the cpu as much as prime so i think the temps should be ok.

AMD chips usually crap out at around 65c+ the 1090T's safe max temp is 62c to 63c, i would look at getting a better cooler or decreasing the clocks, you might be killing your cpu (if it hits 61c or 64c as you said, even if it is brief).

ill drop it to 3.8Ghz and the volts anyway will 3.8Ghz feel slower than 4Ghz i dont think i will notice it anyway

it doesnt matter if i lower them all the way back to stock i still get 61C but i tried stock cooler and got much lower strange.

shouldn't i be looking at the core temps anyway not the cpu temp as this ios not a sensor in the cpu as my core temps are 54c at full load and by in taking air i can get below 50 just need a dust filter.

The AMD stock cooler gave you better temps? If so, you need to sort that cooler out

hmm i might have to replace it but what from scan could replace for around the same price and i dont want 4 kilos of metal hanging of my MB

Either get the NH-D14 or get a proper WC setup, not the Corsair H 'kiddies' series if you want the best temps.

Or look around for some more aesthetically pleasing air coolers
