Not really. If you split it in two you get 90w for 8c 16t.

The size of the chip should allow for plenty of dissipation area as well.
So much rendering goodness in that chip. A dual socket setup to really bridge between the consumer and enterprise space sure would be sweet.

I actually expect the rumored chip to be in their server grade lineup...

Exactly they said one socket. I still expect them to update the chipset as needed but a new socket is out of the question.

That's really high clock speeds. I find it hard to believe, but the rumours are so regularly now that it's hard to ignore it.
