It's all down to how you use your PC. If you're more gaming orientated go Intel for those last few fps, if you're more compute orientated then pound for pound or euro for euro then it's hard to look past AMD's current offerings throughout the range from Ryzen 3 through Treadripper through EPYC, throw in some Radeon Instinct tech and even the Cloud merchants are happy.

Well if you're streaming and gaming the 12 cores may end up helping you out more than the 8 from Intel. I would suspect it would be enough but I'd have to see this specific head to head benchmark between these two. If they were similar then you could make the 12 core stream at higher quality for probably a small difference in performance cost since you have tons of threads available
