I have an AMD system which I built myself, very good speed for the price.

The higher end AMD stuff is great!

The only issues I had were finding reasonably priced DDR3 ram suitable for the AMD Phenom II with the 890 chipset.

Ironically the generic brand worked better than corsiar sticks. So now I have 8 Gb of generic ram @ 1333 Mhz with no problems

AMD desktop(self built ofcourse) more bang for buck..intel expensive and not just the cpu, the boards cost too much also..whats happening with the AM3+ socket coming out btw?

Intel laptop - what came with VAIO, cant fault it tbh

With regards to graphics im opposite to most it seems...fed up with ati issues ive been having...so Im going green with an Nvidand an AMD running the main show, good to be differnt I feel

Been with both on and off now, both of which have served incredibly well.

Only just recently gone back to Intel to SB and Iam impressed.

Intel and Nvidia Desktop

AMD and ATI Laptop

Both have served me well so far except for the fact I did loose on the silicone lottery with my desktop. I want AMD to be better as I'm a total AMD fanboy but I went for Intel as, for now at least, they are better.

I don't usually stick with one brand or product, I go for what ever gives me the best value for my money, at the moment that is Intel with SB and 1155.

I use intel and nvidia, used amd for my sister though as it was cheap! i haven't used them in my own rigs since having an amd athlon 3200

Intel cheated the market too much for me to support them. (NOT to start a flame war) I enjoy AMD's performance, their Tri-core Ph II's were right in my budget and gave me great performance.

Being an oddball, I have been AMD/Nvidia since my first build a few years ago. I won't notice the ~2fps that Intel gets me. :/ But I've been through waaaay to much with ATI/AMD's notebook graphics to ever want an ATI/AMD GPU, while both the problems I've ever had with Nvidia's drivers where cured by a clean sweep. Bulldozer will hopefully at least meet Intel with it's performance. As stated before, AMD's Phenom II's are just catching up with Intel's 4-5 year old chips.

AMD: Phenom 720/Nvidia GTX 470 on MSI 980A

AMD/ATI laptop

I WAS a amd fanboy , ran a 3200 baron for years then a opty 165 . but then i went to a am2 4200x2 for ddr2 with a asus am2 sli deluxe with 4gb ram and a x1950pr first of all. my mate had a e2140 with a 8500gt that spanked the pants of it.... soi bought a 8800gt and it only just out fp'd it on cs etc

so i then got a p5k prem and a q6600 and WOW i was amazed the jump from amd to intel. ad then OMFG 2-3X the FPS etc same ram same gpu just a intel c2Q.

now running a e8600 and i love it BUT big but here im going to build a 1090t rig for a play see if amd have caught back up yet . if not ill sellup and gp i7 SB seems like a gimmic to me ....

as for GPU's

always been a ati fanboy since my first 9800pro / 3200 barton setup.

now running a 4870x2 that i will keep for another 1-2 years... who needs a 5970 or a gtx 580 ... when a 4870x2 can do it all ....

both destops in the livingroom are AMD, the one in the garage (music pc) is a AMD also

and i have 1 Intel on loan at my friends house.

i've always used AMD and the one Intel i have is a E6600 dualcore, in gaming it keeps on crashing. but for general use office ect its still ok

939 was a good socket with good chips, but I have jumped ship to Intel. Kind of hoping that AMD comes out with a new socket.
