Amd Upgrade help?

Hello, I my birthday is in a couple of days and i am getting a lot of money. i was thinking about upgrading my PC. I was thinking to either get a Powercolor 7870 MYST edition " http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=78372&vpn=AX7870 2GBD5-2DHPPV3E&manufacture=PowerColor ". Or upgrade my cpu to a amd 8350 http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=76932&vpn=FD8350FRHKBOX&manufacture=AMD&promoid=1312

Current Specs:
Cooler Master Haf 922
Amd Phenom II X4 955
Asus M5A88-V EVO
Cooler Master 212 Evo
XFX Radeon 6850
Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600W

7870 it would be a waste putting a 8350 onto that chipset to be perfectly honest. Now if you were doing a mobo and cpu upgrade then I may swing the other way. As I've been playing with a 6850 here of late while waiting on my 7970's to arrive (yeah it'll be tomorrow) anywho it did great so far.

Your CPU is more than capable of running latest games, get a 7870.

7870 mate. Then save some money and get a new mobo/cpu My mate runs a 7870 on a phenom 2 x4 and it runs fine on it, a few fps less but nothing massive. Have you overclocked the cpu?

Yes I have the cpu overclocked to 4 ghz

Youll be fine then. if it was still at 2.8 ghz or something i would say overclock it but 4ghz is plenty
