Nope. They are still and always are properly called CPUs.

APU was first coined as a term for Audio Processing Unit.....which is a SOUND CARD. Creative coined the term and IMHO it belongs to them and them ALONE.

i'm not saying APU is the perfect acronym for a CPU with an embedded graphics processor but just because APU can be used for an audio processing unit does not exclude it from use anywhere else.

It probably isn't the best idea to have more than one thing have the same acronym but it wouldn't be the first time it has happened, and generally context provides the information necessary to determine which one is the subject at hand.
