AMD Ryzen ITX Board

Hello guys,

After seeing Tom's video on the Gigabyte B350 ITX motherboard and all of it's BIOS (voltage) and VRM heat issues, I'm a bit unsure what to go for here.

I'm highly considering either the 1700 or 1700X. Probably won't overclock and IF I would, I'd try maybe max 3.5GHz.

Now I'm wondering if I should maybe go for this one instead, or perhaps either the Biostar or ASRock's X370 Gaming ITX/AC?

What do you guys recommend etc?...

Thanks,
Chrazey

Do not buy an itx board that has the X370 chipset. It's absolutely useless in the form factor. Also looking around the ASRock's itx board handles mild overclocks better than the other boards.

I found a review of the Asrock titled "The only ITX board worth having" I then saw that he used a Noctua face down cooler for the review. So tbh? he didn't really review it properly like Tom did. I dunno dude. You may get away with it but personally I would wait until we get a proper AM4 ITX board from the likes of Asus.

Thanks all for your replies... Switching my question to if you only have an 1080 and an Samsung 960 Evo 1TB, how many PCI lanes from a CPU do you need? In order to get their full potential and being able to utilize them to their fullest?.

As I reckon people with dual GPUs went with the 5930K instead of the 5820K due to this limitation of the CPU?...

Lastly, I did some research last night and on Tomshardware I believe it was, said that the 5960X has better temps than the 6900K for example. Is this the same scenario when talking 5820K and 5930K in comparison to the 6800K?... Can't really decide which is the better buy here?.

Thanks all!
