Regardless whether the stock cooler is capable or not, this card has got to be tempting quite a few people about now!.

...Must stick with my R9 Fury...Must stick....

I wonder why the card is clocked 400mhz lower than that if the stock cooler can handle it. Obviously 1600mhz would mean the cooler is at 100% and the card is running fairly hot, but surely 1400mhz would've been reasonable.

I'm very very tempted to buy 2 of them but I must resist until the NDA is lifted so we know that UK pricing will be and the reviews come out.

Gibbo at OCUK is expecting high sales of these cards maybe he knows something we do not ;)

So tempted to get rid of my R9 Fury and get 2 480's but then in 6 months i'll get that itch again so I'm going to do my best to hold off...Very intruiged about this card though!

So that'll be €300/340 then.

If you look a direct conversion via Xe.com you're looking at £155 ...So if you then add on #becauseyouliveinUK tax, thats £186..then add on #becauseitsanewproduct you're looking about £200.

that's my logic

Maybe so the TDP would be lower and better for advertise?

ATM they are just stating that the TDP is 150W, which is the max the 6-pin and the PCIe bus can give the GPU.

The GPU undoubtedly consumes less power than this, AMD is just not letting us know exactly how much. They are holding their new cards close to their chest right now sadly.

I'd like to know if it's either thermal limited at 1607 or voltage(and other variables) limited. If 1600mhz isn't that hard to come by and the cooler can handle it while being quiet/cool, seems they should have raised the boost from 1266 to 1600. Or 1450/1500 to give the AIBs some lee way.
