"AMD didn’t just make their GPUs bigger to boost their performance."

Something Nvidia could learn from!

I think these will be good enough cards. AMD has a prime opportunity here with 5000 series seemingly being lackluster in generational improvement. Let's hope they don't pull an AMD if you will.

Based on what's been shown from Blackwell, AMD don't have to do as much to be competitive as initially thought from the first announcements. I honestly don't think $600 for the 9070 XT would be that much of a stretch any more to be in line with what is happening in the market. I'd be sad if it weren't less, but it wouldn't be a dumb move in my opinion.

I don't think it will beat the XTX. And that costs what now? About 800 quid.

These cards are mid range silicon whereas the 7900 cards were upper mid range.

I'd expect them to run about the same as the 7800XT. Yet, kick the 7800XTs ass due to generational improvements.

So 550 maybe 600 if they extract the urine.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for as well. 500 would be a huge win. 550 would be very good. 600 would be decent. 650 would be a waste of an opportunity. I still think they'd sell and turn a profit, but I don't believe it'd help them regain market share by any meaningful degree.

If they could get the XTX down to £700-750 instead of 800-900 consistently, I think they'd still sell as well.
