AMD Reveals their Radeon VII GPU - The First 7nm Gaming GPU

Vega64 prices only started to come back down below $699 around August-September 2018 to be fair, and were only below $699 for like a week at most before that, it's generally a price/perf increase over Vega64 unless you bought V64 quite recently or at MSRP for the like 3 hours it was sold at MSRP. Similarly, the GTX1080Ti was still at ~$900 till a similar time period.
You have to compare against either MSRPs that only really existed on paper or prices of cards in the last few months to make VII appear to be a perf/price maintainer or regression across the board.

1080ti was a good price/performance and it's the same with the Radeon 7. AMD are behind sure but doesn't mean they should just not release anything and stop making money and stop R&D.
Besides that I told you what I based it on. No need to get your booty tickled

The 1080Ti was not what I would consider a good price/performance card. It wasn't the worst I've seen or will see by any means (2080Ti, Fury X, Vega 64, 780Ti, these are/were arguably worse), but it was not what I would call good (GTX 970. R9 290, 1070Ti, these were 'good'). And I don't think that after two years the same (give or take) price/performance is good. I don't want AMD to not release anything or stop making money or researching and developing. That's a stupid thing to suggest. But the fallacy that I have to not be disappointed and frustrated just so they can release something and keep the train moving is also stupid to me.

It was the first card to do 4k60. It's a pretty good deal from an enthusiast POV. Not the average consumer as the average consumer is playing 1080p60. They simply don't care about more. They want a 1060/580 level card or less(majority of market)
My point was this is good for AMD and the best they could do with the limited funds available. It was always going to be a disappointing release because people will compare to Nvidia. No matter what they do it will be a step behind or playing catch up. They are competing with themselves at this point which is why it's a reasonable priced card compared to a Vega 64. However still in the market against Nvidia it will always be meh. It'll probably continue to be this way until they can get a new architecture or they do something far left field
So I believe it's stupid to forget all this and then also believe I'm trying to change your opinion which I never did do or tried
But considering you have been complaining about everything being so expensive lately and saying you don't want this or that it just seems you are cannot be satisfied with the technology sector. That and the fact that you have been getting more aggressive towards me in the past month (even though I've hardly posted since mid Dec-Jan) means I should probably not have initiated conversation. My apologies then for bothering you (not being sarcastic I just don't want this to get out of hand)

Irrelevant of whatever I might disagree with, I have not conscientiously or purposefully posted aggressively to you or anyone. I'm really sorry if came across that way. I know I've moaned about the state of affairs a lot, but I've not knowingly moaned about you or anyone else. But again, if I came across that way, that's not what I want. No one deserves that. Sorry bud.

I'm not offended don't worry about it, very few things in life would offend me, and an angry goldfish is not one of them^_^

Having read more info this is not the full fat Vega 7, Full fat Vega 7 has 4096 stream processors, This only has 3840, Meaning they'll probably release an R7+ a few months after.

Just a suspicion.

I'd be surprised if they released a full day Vega for gaming.

I won't.

NVidia have released a full fat Turing card that can be used for gaming, the RTX Titan.

There is nothing stopping AMD doing the same and selling it for a lot less than the RTX Titan.

Another card to watch out for is a full fat 2080 at some point.

Titan Xp was released first to milk the impatient, or as a decent deal for those who need double precision.

Titan XP *capital P* was released first, Then came the 1080 Ti and then the Titan Xp *little p* and all of them had basically the same double precision, Nvidia made sure all mainstream Pascal cards had nerfed DP so you'd have to buy their Quadro or Tesla line to get DP.
