I read an article yesterday that stated that Vega may not hit the desktop market until winter, or possibly even 2018 due to supply issues.
That was from May though, so maybe AMD have confirmed that is not the case. The thing is, why launch a £999 card and then two weeks later release one for half the cost? Yeah yeah, I know, pro graphics etc.. But the Duo was also a pro card and that was just two Fury X.
I must say the more time passes the more I am becoming tempted to save up for another month and buy the FE. Firstly the blue would go banging in my rig (which is all blue and black) and secondly because I know that AMD GPUs always improve over time. It may just be worth the premium to avoid Nvidia. I'm only really looking at £349 more than the 1080Ti as well, and if I keep it for three years..
I dunno. Will see what happens I suppose. I would strongly guess a set of headphones or something comes up I can't resist and it'll be back to square one
