AMD reportedly confirms that they will make M.2 SSDs

AMD has reportedly confirmed that they will be making faster M.2 and SATA SSDs after the release of their R3 series SSDs. Are R7 or R9 SSDs on the Horizon?

This is interesting; Intel has a step up on AMD on SSD technology, I am specifically looking forward to the 3D X-Point Technology Intel will release this year. Perhaps AMD is planning on a countermeasure?
