Yes the Computing and Graphics i making money for the the first time in over a year.
It could be down to Graphics.
But 80% of the profit is from the Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-Custom part of the company.
Not saying its a flop, just that it can't be seen in these numbers that it's a succes.

You clearly did not read. There sales for that department were down.

Revenue just mean the sold a lot of goods, but is it entirely positive if they don't make money? It's easy to sell a lot of products, but it can be a HUGE fail if you bankrupt yourself.
So read the financial result = Even though the server/semi-custom group sold 5% less. It made a profit of 42 million, the Computing and Graphics made 7.
When you look at first half of last year the Computing and Graphics showed red numbers of 151 million $. And looking at first half of 2017 its -8 million $. So yes its going in the right direction, but looking isolated at the Computing and Graphics, a + of 7 million does not make up for it

You are not answering the point I made earlier. You in fact proved my point without even realizing you did.
I said people called Ryzen a flop and are wrong. You say it is a flop. You then go onto say AMD go from negative 151$ million to a negative $8million. (Which is wrong btw but still for the sake of using your numbers to keep you happy) DOES mean it's a success. Which disproves all the morons who thought the Steam survey was indicative of Ryzens selling as a whole. Mostly that one guy from Seeking Alpha who absolutely hates AMD and basically jerks o** Nvidia and Intel.
The reason they are not showing positive income is due to the fact they have to pay off investment costs from R&D and operation costs due to having to launch new products, you're operating costs ALWAYS go much higher. Advertising/new stock/support/etc.

What money? They MINUS 8.000.000 $ in 2017 in that department.
If you are minus 500.000.000$ on development and marketing and then in one quarter makes 7.000.000 is that then a succes?
But that's not the point. I'm NOT saying it's bad. For some reason you are reading that i'm saying it's bad. I just tried to point out, that you cannot draw the conclusion that Ryzen is not a flop form those numbers.
