I don't see the need for a 2gb 460 tbh, the 470 4gb around the £100 mark would seem the sweet spot if it goes to £150 then the 480 4gb would be worth the extra money imo.
2gb I think is too little ram for games these days and more of an issue in the not to distant future

RRP is $99 and $149. They should be around £130, so a good £50 less than the 480.

The need for a 460 2gb is probably because it will cost around £70 and be able to run 1080p very well or resolutions less than. Remember, lots of people on a budget are still rocking very old monitors or TVs that are native 720p. 2gn would be enough for medium settings with a decent clip of FPS. In fact, the 460 has got me pretty pumped because it's probably the first decent and capable 1080p card for less than £100 ever.

I would still say the 470 would be a better buy than the 460, to my way of thinking the 470 will last longer so the extra expense would be worth the extra 2 years or so it would be able to run games at high settings and then into medium, I'd see the 460 as a false economy buy and need replacing sooner

It should overclock decently. It won't be right at it's power limit from the get go, so it should get to 1300mhz on the core and still have some power wiggle room. Although I expect vendors may still throw on an 8 pin anyway, for even more headroom.
