It's as if corporations have some kind of primitive AI that writes all of their statements and announcements. They're all using the same phrases and buzzwords all the time. It's just boring and meaningless. They might as well not say anything because they're not really saying anything that's worth reading or telling someone else. You can't do anything with that kind of statement.
It's a nitpick, sure. But it wouldn't kill them to be just a bit more descriptive.
While I see your point the idea behind their statement is to confirm it's still coming this year as it's looking great so far to put to bed any false rumours floating around. As earlier this year there were many false reports on the matter.
In context it makes sense. Taking it literally though without context, is where your point would be something I agree with
It is worth remembering that companies pretty much have to save any announcements of substance for big pre-planned events.
Shareholders etc need to be considered, which is why you would rarely see things discussed openly. That's why we often see non-statements like "looking great in the labs". That's not going to shift AMD's stock price.
As many have said in this thread. AMD is just putting to bed rumours that Zen 3 has been delayed.
