AMD Radeon HD 6900 Delayed to December 13

I've never read so much crap in my life.

Don't want to over burden the market my eye, their card was obviously slower than the 580.

People are spouting this all over the place, and it's simply not true. AMD are more concerned with their previous cards' comparison, just as nVidia compare the 580 with 480. Although it is a partial reason you never saw the 380 series.

There is a bios revision, and better (not beta

) drivers to come, but I don't think it'll effect the release, there are other reasons. Personally I didn't see anything hitting the shelves prior to christmas, even tho there have been reviewable samples out for a while. November, imo, was a date made up on the spot.

Stock performance comparisons with the 2 camps releases Q4 is one thing to notice. But overclocking, hopefully with the rare old school enthusiast in mind, is another. We'll see who's afraid of the big thermal goo monster

I read that i was due to a shortage of DrMosfets or other components. As the 69xx cards apparently share some of the components on the 68xx and 58xx
