AMD plans to support AMD with future CPU generations

AMD has announced that they have plans to support their AM4 socket with future CPU generations.

Nice that unlike Intel you don't have to keep putting your hand in your pocket buying new motherboards every 5 minutes

Excellent! This really helps cement the idea of going AMD for my next rig. It means I can invest in a decent motherboard knowing it'll do a while meaning I might actually use that much vaunted "upgrade-path". Often with Intel if you buy a mid-high range chip and appropriate motherboard by the time something comes along that's worth upgrading to it's on a new socket; it makes it less appealing to invest in a really nice Z-chipset board.
