Hi I have recently gradually overclocked my cpu to 4.1 ghz (stock clock 3.2 ghz) at a voltage of 1.55 and i wanted to know if my cpu can go higher.

thx :)

Also idle cpu temps are 30 to 32celcuis and at load they are at about 52 celcuis My cooler is a cooler master hyper 212 evo

Sorry went to bed last night, was tired. You could only try it and see what is the max you could get out of it, remember to watch the temps also :)

I agree, the volts are a little too high for 24/7 use, I've just upgraded from my 955 and I was using 1.475V for 4GHz stable, only thing holding me back from going further was that I needed more volts to get over 4GHz stable.

Back it down a bit to 1.5V max and see what you can get stable from that. It will help a lot with the temps too!

So i tired to bring down the voltage and i have it stable at 1.525 vcore that only made a degree or 2 difference in temps. And yes it is prime stable. Also what is the maximum temp my cpu will handle. thx :)

As in reduce lifetime, I'm sure 1.5v is the recommended max voltage for the phenom chips.

I'm not really concerned about reduced life time as long it'll survive till sometime next year
No can tell if it will but you are much more likely to see it suddenly die if you keep them that high. Might last 1 week, might last 2 years but the question to ask yourself is: would it be ok if it died tomorrow?

Also i have heard a lot of people up their nb clock too. Does doing that let me increase the cpu clock

update:
Decided to experiment a bit more and i got overclock to 4.2 ghz a full ghz increase at 1.525 voltage. Stable prime tested. I'm quite happy so i will leave it at that.
