I really wish they would do more with their mobile architecture. Imagine how much better there 40 compute units would perform with their newest architecture? Would be an astounding difference in all areas performance, perf/Watt, FSR4 benefits, cooler running, etc.

AMD never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

RDNA 4 would take up a lot more die space, but I do agree. Not waiting for RDNA 4 was a mistake. As it stands, every Radeon integrated graphics solution is outdated at launch. Even if Strix Halo beats Intel Panther Lake in gaming, its bad FSR 2/3 upscaling and frame generation give Intel the quality advantage.

The only reason RDNA 3.5 was acceptable was because Nvidia did not compete in this space. Without FSR 4 upscaling on RDNA 3+, it is hard to recommend AMD's integrated solutions for gaming. They are certainly usable, but not the best they could be. AMD is giving itself a lot of negativity for no real reason. An RDNA 4 iGPU would have transformed the gaming handheld space and laptop markets. Strix Halo with an RDNA 4 GPU would be insane!

When it comes to the mobile space I agree.

If they could do better it would benefit all. Unfortunately I think windows still sucks and holds them back.

Windows sucking has really made modern hardware feel bad despite the speed boosts it delivers. Even with the fastest CPUs, Windows feels sluggish.
