AMD FX8350 Strange temps

Problem Solved

I got home and installed the Thermaltake NIC C4 cooler. It says on the box that it can handle 220Watts of power. The temps have cooled down at amazing levels. Here is the picture of the rig followed by the temps.

I also hooked up 4 hard drives (all 7200rpm ) and power usage is also stable. Currently running benchmarks and everything seems to be in order. I will continue my testing and do a little bit of OC and revert.

EDIT: Max temps with AIDA64 has reached 56C and with BF4 ultra game setting it does 51C max.

Asus Realbench 2.0 is the ultimate test for AMD because it's just a collection of real world software such as GIMP and Handbrake etc.

The multi tasking test is where it's at and if you make it through that your rig is stable.
 
i use the ASUS AI suit II for my FX8320 and the temps as the same as bios. On default no Temps >59C during 100% CPU Usage (during summer) . Check if you have misplaced anything from the watercooling system. Use the "CPU fan" slots on your MoBo

Run Asus Realbench 2.0 or above. The heavy multi tasking test is just pure evil. It runs GIMP and edits images, a Handbrake encode and some seriously heavy high res movies.

Realbench by name, real bench by nature. It uses nothing but real programs and apps to test with and hammers your CPU. My AMD absolutely cries when that test starts.
 
I don't game much. Played Bf4 and Far Cry 4 and ended both games in 5 days. Today i ran two virtual machines for Linux and FreeBSD 64 and left Linux to compile a software build that took 2 hours and 17 minutes. The CPU temps were held pretty tight still. http://i.imgur.com/nbEN8eA.jpg

I run GSkill RipJaws Dual Channel DDR3s PC12800 memory for now http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/20-231-314-TS?$S300W$ but plan to go 32GB from Corsair . The NIC C4 cooler has surpassed my expectations and is pretty quiet too. If this thing can cool down FX8350 then im sure i7 K series wont be an issue with slight overclocks. ( i think )

P.S: I used the thermal paste that came bundled with the C4 package. Its from thermaltake too.

Update: Installed 32Gig of Corsair ram finally today and multiple Vmware sessions are going very smoothly with no lags. Here is the update pic

i find IBT to be the be all and end all for stressing a CPU to the absolute breaking point..
I always use it and OCCT to test my cpu stability (also prime 95)

I find games are actually better for testing a GPU for stability, And you need different ones too..
But i guess all this is superfluous now. But i will add it here any way given i cannot set up Project cars stupid "WOEFUL" FFB Settings and im giving up on it.
 
I think you need to do IBT and OCCT to stress test. My old 8150 would pass 20 runs of IBT on Very High all day long but would crash almost instantly under OCCT. So far Ive found that any AMD chip Ive used, if itll pass 4-6 hours of OCCT on highest setting then itll pass IBT and be 24/7 stable. But yeah, run both to be sure.
