If true then it'll still bring more performance than 6 then whenever the user decides to upgrade platforms they receive another boost. That would be a golden ticket for many people. Be remembered as fondly as SandyBridge.

I started with an XP2500. AMD were a loooong time going over to DDR2 amd remained the dog's whatsits while doing so. This is nothing new; in fact they probably should have done the same with Ryzen 5 and DDR5 considering how long it took to get out of 6000mt/s is your lot or immediately fall over territory in the majority of cases. Look where chasing the screamingly silly has gotten Intel.
