DirectX 12 is built form the ground up to more easily support multiple GPUs. AMD has now helped us explain these benefits.

Nice post here WYP i'm particularly interested in the combined memory pools
DX12 does sound good but since it's going to mean extra work for game devs I cannot see it being used properly for a long time, since most devs of AAA games cannot release a game that is not either in a worse state at launch than a Alpha, or cannot be bothered to actually fix the game.
The whole experience of games on the pc the last 3 years is what is keeping me from coming back to playing, games primarily on my pc instead of on a console even though I cannot play multiplayer on the consoles because of the controllers, the single player experience is still better than any game I have played on the pc in the last 3 years thanks to bugs etc.
Was never a big fan of the console controllers, but hey, each to their own. Consoles are not without their own problems either though. Granted not as much as PC. Its just a shame that the attention is focused at consoles.
Well it is easier for them with the consoles, so to them its just easy money and hey who doesnt want that... We can complain about the devs all we want, but they are in it to make a living just as well all are, ethics are a different matter.
If many people were more knowledgeable, or quality performance PCs (not those HP repoffs etc) were available for a decent price a decade ago, maybe things would be different. As consoles are really just for convenience.

i don't see how its easier lol..
Step 1. You make a great game on the pc, State the minimum requirements, and have sliders for adjusting vizual quality and other effects.
(pc gamers rejoice)
step 2. You turn the gfx down. add some fogging (cater to the lowest common denominator here) "Just use those slider things you added in step 1"
step 3. you remove some extra details (paper blowing through streets, leaves fluttering in the sky) "again use those slider things that were added in step 1"
step 4. Bind console game pad inputs to the default key bindings
(this is also fine for windows where some people do use controller, so was probably already done in step 1)
step 5. Limit the game to 30fps "again just use the options you added for the pc game"
step 6 Remove the page that had the sliders from the game so all video options are locked out.
recompile it in the language for consoles "job done"
Profit..
This is versus.
step 1
Make a game for console 1
step 2.
Make a game with slightly less gfx integrity for console 2
step 3. make better textures and assets for the pc version.
step 4. re write the control system, because if you just map keys to the controller and use mouse smoothing people will hate you, because of input delay, horrible unresponsive controls, and floaty mouse syndrome.
step 5. Hire a shoddy company to port it over.
Step 6. watch your company name get dragged through the mud. Because your stupid port sucked, and there was no reason for it to suck, because you could have made the stupid game on pc 1st and then ported it to both consoles faster and easier, and no one would have noticed it sucked on the consoles BECAUSE THEY ARE USED TO IT!.
Step 7. blame Piracy "although pc sales is your 2nd biggest income"
Blame the shoddy company you hired to port it over "although you knew they were console games people, so you did that to have a scape goat"
And then say it was all for Parity and a cinematic experience.
Probably still profit because people are dumb.

Well that's how i want it to work lol.
Any way amd and their comments on dx 12,
They dont seem to mention using Intel hd gfx along with nvidia cards under dx12.. so it does seem they are trying to insert a slight benefit for having AMD hardware with dx 12, in this statement "just a slight oversight, or hoping some people will think you can only do it with amd?".
