Just now AMD have revealed the Radeon Pro Duo. It's supposed to have up to 16 TFLOPS of compute power and is specially marketed towards VR-Software developers. That's also why the card has got a "professional" name like this and doesn't fall under the Fury naming scheme.

Earlier this year information about a Dual GPU card was leaked talking about a card with 12 TFLOPS which would have been just more than a 295X2 but now the 16 TFLOPS are official. Which makes sense given a single Fury Nano can reach 8.2 TFLOPS.

The Radeon Pro Duo is equipped with a single 120mm radiator with the hose coming out near the I/O. Whether this is the final design featuring a hose that long is unclear.

Besides it's size and blackness the 3x 8-Pins are impressive too. Giving it a theoretical max. output of 525W. They surely played the safe card after the 295X2 was stretching the boundaries that much.

Together with the GPU AMD also announced a new VR-Headset featuring a 4096 × 2160 display. Closer information is not available. AMD is definitely going all in with this card giving the ultimate performance on a single PCB.

wonder if its gonna have the throttling the 295x2 had? When it reaches 74 degrees it would back off the clocks and voltage alot!

Should of watercooled it, its a beast when its properly cooled, 100% needed more power though!

I did want to but the Aqua Computer red and copper block was out of stock everywhere at the time so couldn't really be bothered waiting.

that was actually a nice block, i considered the same one, but i wanted matching blocks in mine so ended up going with EK

Do want. I doubt it'll be too much of a sweaty pig if I get the correct fans for it. The only real issue for me is the size of it appears to be much larger than I was anticipating.

Instead of a new thread I will link my article on this here. Great work TPC, it was a good read. My article ads some of AMD's performance numbers and some of AMD's thoughts on the future of Multi-GPU.

Why does every video card have to have the power molex on the top? They used to be on the side, and this was much better for smaller cases.

I'm just really surprised this is aimed more at professionals/devs instead of gamers.
Why?

It's a $1500 GPU, it's not exactly average joe gamer money. That kind of cash could build a full gaming rig. So yes it was always going to be Pro/Dev/Enthusiast level, that's just logical.. isn't it?

Well it's only a couple hundred more than getting 2xFX's by themselves. Which is a niche segment of people already, so does it really make a difference? Not really.Same thing for a 980ti SLI config tbh. It's just they are marketing it towards VR devs and professionals and not really mentioning gamers, who they were building the hype around originally is all.

I tried comparing a couple of FXs to this new card based on Firestike figures released by AMD.

It is a non contest the Fury Xs win easy, no gamer is going to look at this card twice.

Well the figures are from AMD. I'd like to see some reviews first that are more than likely less biased than AMD will be:p Though I'm pretty sure it's two nano cores. Which may be why the Fury X beats it easily. Meh we'll see, i'm not expecting anything better though compared to FX's, at best match it. Probably closer to Nano/Fury Xfire than anything.
