How the hell can they justify doing this with GPUs still being sold new a few months ago?

They can't. It's a cost-cutting measure, most likely. AMD probably doesn't have the capacity to maintain their products as long as Nvidia. It's really embarrassing.

Well if true it's BS. Their CPU department makes more than enough to cover it.
