AMD has Demoed their upcoming Dual Fiji GPU with the HTC Vive at VRLA in an ultra compact falcon Northwest Tiki case, a case that is almost as small as an Xbox 360 Slim.

True but I can't see DX12 being properly used for quite some time.
I hope you're wrong, because by then I might be using just one GPU...
Then again, releasing a poor coded game for DX12 that would not take full advantage of dual GPU set-up, would be silly...

I reckon it will be another 12 or so months before DX12 properly takes off in games, It took developers around a year or so to get into the Swing of things with Windows 7's DX11 and a full 2 years for DX11 to become the mainstream.

Also because many big games can't be made in a single year. Usually takes longer
 
While new API's i.e DX12, Mantle ect ect ect have the ability to memory stack making 2x 4GB cards essentially 8GB it is up to the games or software developers to implement it which is not going to be an easy task or something we are going to see anytime soon... *Cough* Consoles! lets not forget consoles are holding PC games back which has a knock on effect when it comes to us sitting on uber hardware that could be being used to its fullest..

I predict a very dull angry crowd complaining over the next few years about even more p~£$ poor ports.
