AMD CPU Temps

At the moment I am using an AMD 64 X2 6000+ with my Akasa 925 Revo cooler, the temp is about 55C and goes up to about 62C. With 2 8800GT cards installed they are pushing out a lot of heat I think this is effecting my CPU temps. Are these temps normal for this CPU ?

Dont take my word for it, but I reckon it is quite high, because when I used to roll on my AMD Athlon Sock 939, my temp would go 50c @ load and 39c - 42c @ idle.

Remember DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

The high temp must be because of the 2 GTs you got running under the hood.

If that is what you think, why not try a reseat of the CPU cooler? Reapply new thermal paste and see if your temps are any better?

I always remember AMD CPUs to run quite warm compared to Intels solutions, but I am not an AMD man so don't take my word for it ;)

Side been off for about 2 hrs now and temp has stayed at 50C and the 8800GT's are cooler now. So a mod is needed for my case.

they'd work better as intake's

then put your rear fan as an exaust

and front fans as an intake

is what i would do...

but wait for someone with a little more knowledge in aerodynamic stuff to back that up :)

Intake is better to have, if you use them as an exhaust you will most likely find the temps to be even higher because you're taking all the air away from the inside which it needs, the idea is to shove cooler air in to it to keep the temperatures down!

Cheers. I know I need to increase cool air going into the case, the strange thing is the 2 8800GT's have produce a hot spot area in case.CPU runs about 50C and cooler is ok,the hot spot is at the bottom of case. See pic.
