indeed that´s good news for AMD.
thought some shops sell the 1900x for too much here in germany (~660 euro at amazon marketplace).
for 660 euro it makes no sense to buy the 1900x when you can get the 1920x for ~780 euro.
mindfactoy has a more reasonable price (539 euro).
i think 499 euro would be a great price, compared to the 1800x.
for me saving 230 euro made no sense so i bought the 1920x.
and i am very happy with my decision.

Yup one of the best CPUs in history tbh. Well, for price/perf/not getting botty ripped on the motherboard. It will definitely be a legend, especially as the prices seem to be dropping too. I think if Intel release their new 6 core @ over £300 it will just help AMD to sell even more of them.

Except to the 4.5ghz or go home people, but in general, yeah amd would be outselling easily if intel goes above 300.

Given the 2 FPS difference that extra clock speed makes it would be silly to pay for it.
My CPU mostly runs at 2.8ghz, yet is more than enough to give me butter smooth gaming.

It's the cheaper variants of the chips that they sell.
1700/1700x/1800x has the same production cost, but they sell the cheaper ones.
Otherwise i agree, the 1600 is a sweet spot. And more and more games can use the cores = The clocks isn't as important.

They do make a profit as the yields with the Ryzen silicon is very high

I don't know if you have noticed but on mindfactory under AM4 cpus there are some athlon cpus listed, prices and all. Is it legit?

Are these the Bristol ridge parts? Low-end Athons and APUs?
These are pretty much just some Excavator based APUs and CPUs, not Zen-based sadly.
